Was very disapointed to realise at the recent friendlys that bobby hassell is very arogant, i always imagined that he'd be a really sound down to earth lad a bit johnson and kozluk esk, previously i didn't want bobby to leave (when rumors can out of a propased move to hudds) as i thought of him as a true red with passion for the club and its fans but after realising what he is like as a person i will not be as botherd if he was to leave just my opinion
kind of agree with you. At Buxton he was the only player who didn't say alright when walking past. Top marks to Jon Macken... seems like a top bloke. Andy Johnson seems to be the king of the players. seems well respected by the squad. Dragged "Potts" and "butters" (anything to do with Butterfield being one of the all time ugly barnsley players!) through the second half.
My mates where talking to a load of players at end of buxton game while i was trying to avoid the mob and they said that bobby just complettly blanked them. Johnson must be a reyt laugh in the dressing room, devey should have him in the squad even if he has no intention of playing him just for his pressence
I agree arrogant ****, every other player mixed with the fans signed autographs, posed for photos and Hassel just ignored everyone, didn't make any attempt to sign autographs or interact with anyone, to the disappointment of some people.
Maybe he was having a bad day Maybe he'd just had bad news. Maybe his dad wasn't well. ******* hell, he didn't say hello to you and now he's a lovely person. Grow up.
really? I've always like him as a player, but never met him or anything. Maybe he was just having a bad day though? I wouldn't judge someone just from one experience. although I have before
The club often come in to swim at the Barnsley Metrodome. On one occasion they came in and the diving boards were closed and he started swearing and shouting at a member of staff and actually reduced her to tears. Not what you want in the team but if he does a job for us, what can you do!
RE: Maybe he was having a bad day Exactly what I was thinking.
I know if I'm having a bad day, or if something bad has happened, I'm not going to be in the best of moods for talking to a group of strangers

DISAGREE bobby brilliant lad, in the services on way home from Cardiff last game of season my mate asked him for his tracksuit top. he said i can do better than that, went to his car and gave him his match shirt (Y)(Y)
He may have been having a bad day. At the end of the day, i dont really care what he is like as long he performs well for us
Maybe he shouldn't bite the hand that feeds him Maybe, as aprofessional, he should be able to put his bad news to one side and put on a brave face for the fans.
he was the same at glossop as well as buxton and to be fair even if your in a very bad mood its not difficult to just say hiya back to someone if they say hello
Maybe he's a shy person? He could be self conscious or low in confidence around people that he doesn't know. Either way as long as he is doing the job on the pitch and acting professionally off it (not getting into any trouble) then his personality is nothing to do with us.
The evidence is mounting against him Jay Note the 'baths' incident below. I also know for a fact that he refused to pay 5p for a carrier bag in M&S and made the check out girl cry.
