Would walk into that side. Still. If we can give a trial to a holding midfielder who hasn't played football for two years, busy selling coffee, then why not a holding midfielder who played as regular as this year, a bloke who showed in the summer he still had it, a bloke who lives in Dodworth and would play for ******* nowt? It's as obvious a move as you'll get. But naew, let's crack on loaning feeble kids that would blow over in a breeze. We need experience, a leader, a voice, a captain. And a manager.... I await the opposing views...
Not sure about his current fitness but had he been sensibly retained he would have been invaluable, probable current captain and exactly the sort of player we need. What a mess we've made of the last few years.
Despite my appreciation for the bloke, I take no pleasure in stating he'd be ideal, still. It's an absolute farce that we're in a position where I'd even suggest it. But it is what it is.
Get him to tweet the club. Seems to be a way in. You never know. Would be an ideal signing if he's owt like fit.
He's not a twit. But I'm pretty sure everyone at BFC knows Bobby would love to return in some capacity.
He doesn't even have to start regularly. Just a solid, experienced pro, a standard setter who can be on the bench regularly & come on when (if) holding onto a lead if needed. Able to play a variety of positions, guide youngster & be a calming influence. Barmy that we released him. I can't really use lower league clubs because I don't follow them closely enough but there's a reason Hibbert & Osman are still at Everton and Scholes & Giggs stayed at Man Utd til they were almost 40 and it's not because they could play 40+ games a season
The thing is, not even the 'it's going backwards' argument stacks up now. Not after bringing Hugo fcukin Colace back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
