top top man. talk about someone who lives and breathes barnsley. and we've let him go. fit for 2 months and didn't get a kick, ahead of any of that shower of $hit
wonder why they cut the bit off on RS about him wanting to play on for another three years and getting offers abroad? Would have settled a few arguments on here earlier, surely he wouldn't have been happy with just a coaching role.
Bobby has been treated with contempt since the Rochdale clowns rode into town. I thought Danny had more about him to be honest.
i do wonder how telling his final comments were. clearly football is not his biggest priority. his faith, family and maybe even his community work are all more important to him than football. i wonder if his refusal to compromise on those things over football, was frowned upon? his departure will definitely be a big loss to the Club
Top bloke and clearly has a great affection for the town. I can't help thinking the club are missing a big trick by not keeping him involved in some way. Bit deluded with all the God stuff like, but I won't hold that against him...
Possibly became a bit of an outcast in the squad, may be a bit more mature than the rest of the group, certainly older than most of them - can't imagine he did much socialising with them. I know it's a professional game but it certainly makes a difference when there's a team spirit, training and playing has got to be more enjoyable when you are mates with most of the squad.
I would have some sympathy for this if we hadn't been abject all season but as it is the younger players have done nothing to suggest this is the right decision.
Bit disrespectful. You can't mock a person because of their faith. I'm not a believer but each to their own.
Class interview from a class man. All the very best with whatever you do next Bobby but I really hope you continue to live in the town. You will be loved and respected by all Reds fans always.
Especially when you see some of the players who have played at right back over the past couple of months. Crainie showed he wasn't a right back last week, we've converted Etuhu into a right back, played Hunt when he clearly wasn't fit and played McLoughlin at Wigan when he came on to the pitch holding his hamstring! Bobby must have been doing something to keep upsetting the managers, because their jobs were on the line and yet they still made bad decisions in favouring others above him.
