Reading the interview on the club site do you think its his dream to play in England, he's said it 3 times in the interview, and biggest mistake is saying he was born with a gift and thats to put the ball in the net, I hope he's right and its the missing link we have been looking for because it could backfire on him if he fails to deliver, but good luck to the new guy if Bogdanovic is half as good as micheal Mifsud then onwards and upwards is the way forward at last....
Whats wrong with that comment??? all top strikers believe in them selves nothing wrong with that whatsoever
What's wrong with that comment is if he doesn't back up his words he will be constantly reminded of that comment and look a fool for saying it in the first place.
right at the end he says he's a slight hamstring niggle!!! hasn't played since late November-just done 3 weeks preseason in Bulgaria-speaks and understands English well-rates Mifsud-phoned him but he didn't pick up!-Paolo diCanio was his manager in Italy-advised him to come to England
Where's it say that? Last 2 paragraphs- "I know Michael Mifsud well and we have played a lot together for the Malta national team. It is something nice for the Maltese people to have some of their players at the highest level. I have 25 caps for Malta and it is always very nice to play for your country even though I am not originally from there. It makes me very proud. "I want to come here, do my best and score a lot of goals. I want to win something for Barnsley".
Clown What did you want him to say? "I seemed to know where the back of the net is when playing in the Maltese league, but maybe I was just a one season wonder playing against league two standard players. I probably won't cut it in England, and if I don't at least I'm closer to my dream of playing for that established league one side Leeds United""
I thought that generally the people who pass medicals don't have anything wrong with them, hence it being worth taking the risk with them. I'm sure it won't be Kevin Dixon or Richard Kell all over again though.
It's slightly more technical than that They use scans, X-rays etc which can determine whether a current injury is one which is likely to cause much future trouble etc. Clubs often sign players who have strains and the like at the time of the medical.
I always assumed they did that But if they do, how does that explain the signing of Steve Hayward who it turned out had a massive hole in his knee!
