    Whilst it no doubt brings in revenue hope Oakwell isn’t’t ever renamed, imagine The Greggs Steak Bake stadium or Koyo Bearings arena ( not sure they still exist).

    Just checked the date and it’s nowhere near April 1st. Let’s just hope it’s the home team that will be affected by the commonly (mis)pronounced version

    Credit to the. They have milked the stadium naming revenue very well over the years. Much more so than ourselves.

    That's because it is the done thing to name a brand new stadium like that as it has no emotional attachment. Big difference between that and changing the name of something after 100 years

    If our stadium got renamed the club would have a much needed revenue boost and fans would still call it Oakwell anyway.

    Yes but I was just saying why there's a difference. It's why Liverpool play at Anfield, Chelsea play at Stamford bridge and man united at Old Trafford but man city at the Etihad and arsenal at the emirates

    Or the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council Stadium, something snappy like.
