LONDON, April 12 (Reuters) - A Ryanair flight from Paris to Dublin was diverted to Glasgow's Prestwick Airport on Wednesday after a bomb alert, the Irish airline said.

"A note was passed to the cabin crew claiming that there was a bomb on board the aircraft," it said in a statement.

The captain reported the warning to air traffic controllers who ordered him to divert to Prestwick.

"There is an ongoing incident. The airport is closed," said a spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police.

"Emergency services are in attendance. No one has been injured," she added.

    So whats the ongoing incident?????

    Thats a big diversion

Its not like Prestwick is on route - wonder why they sent it so far away?

Perhaps they are based in Dublin?

And thought that might be a safe distance.

    Maybe

There's one of those CIA prisons in Glasgow - the person who wrote the note will be in Guantanamo bay by the weekend.</p>
