Apart from probably the rip off in Locke Park.

Anyone know of any decent places to go in Barnsley family friendly for the above?

Been to Thorne Park bonfire at Wakefield for past couple of years. Pretty impressive display.

It's Fee and they have fun fare and entertainment laid on.

The event starts at 6pm.
The childrens show will start at 7.30pm with the main display kicking off at 8pm on Saturday.

I think last year they charged about £5.00 just to get in. A bit much when most local authorities put one on for nowt.
If there are 5 or 6 its a dear do for a bonfire.

£8 at After Dark in Sheffield, Don Valley Bowl

Tempted to take my kids up to Jaw Bone Hill near us, and just sit there watching everyone else's displays ... cracking view across the city. Tight? Me??

RE: Ah, ok.

Might see you there then, I've not been to a bonfire for years but have to introduce the missus to these quirky local customs!

Its 3 or 4 quid this year

Don't have a problem paying a nominal amount like that, they'd only put the Council tax up otherwise.

Ours was free.

Free parking, nowt to get in. Charity buckets dotted around. Money made from a fantastic food set-up. £1.50 a ticket, which bought you either pie & peas, a burger, a hot-dog or a baked tattie with curry or chilli. They couldn't serve 'em quick enough.
