Surely you know the answer already? There are always people on here justifying booing our own players. Great set of fans we have eh.</p> 'Odejayi's playing badly...short of confidence...I know...let's boo the Barsteward before he's on'</p>
Bloke behind me... Booed both him and Mossto. I'd had a few, so I really had a good go at him (the bloke behind that is). Its puzzling. We were 1-0 up, playing well, creating chances, yet he still got booed WHEN COMING ON? You could possible understand it if we were 4-0 down, and people were restless, and looking for excuses to slate our players, but when we were winning. Hopefully, Macken and Ferenzci will take the pressure of Mossto and Ode a bit, and allow them to find their feet away from the pressure of having to score a hat trick every game.
i mentioned this yesterday and as usual, 1 person never fails in his response http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=87113&mid=559902#M559902
Hat-trick every game? In fairness I think most people would have been content with a goal every other game from the pair of them! I don't advocate booing when players come on to the pitch but equally I believe in letting a player that hasn't put the effort in know that you're not pleased with him. Odejayi did himself no favours. Having seen Ferenczi come back from an ankle injury and cover every blade of grass he trots and and doesn't even break a sweat for the rest of the match. You don't have to be a world class player to make the effort to run and close down. There's no excuse for lack of effort in my view.
The tossers. I am not saying that I haven't booed players from time to time, most of them have been big & nasty enough to deal with it, or have deserved it for something they have said or done. However to pick on two new lads who are genuinely trying their best, is unpleasant and counter-productive in the extreme - especially Mossto who must feel completely alone over here, having travelled half the world to sign for us. Then we have Odejayi who lacks confidence - booing him, that's really going to help, dummies.
Not booed him, despite how poor he is. The guy may have quality, but without the confidence that isn't going to show. When you watch him, he's got his hands tucked in his shirt abit like a lost school kid on the football pitch.
