I think for some reason a lot of people are expecting us to win the play offs and I don’t really know why. Yes we have done well to get there but we definitely don’t look like a team that’s anywhere near good enough to be promoted.

Are Swansea anywhere near good enough to be promoted? If you believe they are then given the closeness of this game Then we’re certainly good enough also

We were clear favourites last night. 5/4 us and 11/4 them on Bet 365 and it didn't help us.

Just to add, we could easily beat Brentford or Bournemouth on last nights showing too.

Whilst I wouldn’t describe us as obvious promotion material, we’ve done as much to deserve it as an of the other 3, and even the 2 automatic teams.

As brilliant as this season has been, I don’t think us, or any of the other three teams in the playoffs, would survive next season, no matter who wins.

I’ve seen some on here absolutely loving Swansea, ‘professional performance’ and ‘good game management’ have had a fair few basically cumming, but honestly, do you see Swansea surviving in the Premier League next season? Even the teams towards the bottom of the Premier League would absolutely wipe the floor with them.

Oh and if anyone here today has excused the incredible time wasting antics of Woodman, I think you should take a long, hard look at yourself.

We were good enough to get in the playoffs, as were Bournemouth, Swansea & Brentford.

All 4 teams are two games away for promotion. I honestly can't say which team has done well enough to get in the Premier League, but I hope after the next two games it is us. If it isn't I won't be heartbroken. It will be down to the club to deal with the inevitable incomings & outgoings & hopefully keep the key component, VI & try to build, whilst accepting probably 4 will move on, the out of contract Mowatt, Dike & a couple of sales, hopefully for decent money. Styles, Brittain Woodrow & Helik being the obvious ones to be targeted. If we replace as well as we have done recently there is nothing to stop me thinking we can't go again next season.

I read the post as about being good enough to be promoted not what happens after

History would largely prove you right.

Please watch the opening credits to this 70's TV show. It sums it up for me. The dudes in the red shirts especially, after the fantastic cheesy opening credits.

Good enough to go up because over the season the four teams deserve to be there - massive struggle next season for all 3 teams that go up.

We’re by far the ‘biggest’ Club in the Play offs. We’re so big, we’re almost massive.

And another thing, if we can’t beat ‘teams like’ Swansea/Brentford/Bournemouth, we should just pack the game up. They’re just Division 4 teams on a bit of a good run. Their players today are a mere shadow of giants from the past; Robbie James, Gordon Sweetzer and Kevin Reeves. Pht......little clubs like these shouldn’t be giving us any trouble.

Well, we've won, lost and drawn against the Champions. We've won and lost 1-0 against the other promoted club. Finished fifth. Since our coach arrived, we're second out of the 24 clubs for victories. Only Norwich and Watford in 2021 have got more points. And so on.

    That's why.

It's fine margins. By my reckoning, with the rub of the green and a little composure, we could have won 4-1 in the first leg (Brittain's close-range effort, Morris hitting the bar, Woodrow poor control in a potential 1-on-1 situation, poor pass from Dike when we were 4-on-1). Other than the goal, I can't recall anything else that troubled us much.

Our biggest problem is that we played into Swansea's hands for large portions of the game. That has to stop. We're not going to beat them in a physical scrap and with constant speculative punts to Dike. We're going to beat them by playing football and keeping the tempo high. Allow them to control the pace and we'll be looking at a boring nil-nil. And Swansea will be more than happy with that.

Agree Dike's performance reminded me of Bruce Dyer's in the Play-Off Final v Ipswich in 2000. He didn't do the good things he did v Birmingham. He got into a physical battle with the Ipswich centre backs.
