Award a bonus point for 3 goals or more scored in a game (win or lose) - by one team - not the combined score, with the point going to the team that scored them - or both if they both score 3!! Infact this would be good in any league!
i do agree lol .. well would certainly make football abit more interesting than it is at the moment lol
In speedway racing a bonus point is awarded for the aggregate score over both home & away matches, it really works for that, don't know if it would for footy.
How about... 1 point for a 0-0 draw 2 points for a score draw 3 points for a home win 4 points for an away win.
Why not make it very simple Three points for a win, one for a scoredraw, none for a goalless draw plus one point per goal scored. Simply really.
RE: Why not make it very simple why not just leave it as it is. if you start bringing bonus points into it it will attract more cheating to the game ie with betting as games could be more easily fixed a view jimmi hill brought to the table.(banghead)
Over here, in Sunday League we have tournament scoring: 6 pts for a win 1 pt for each goal scored (up to 3) 1 pt for keeping a clean sheet A 3-0 win earns the winning team 10 pts A 2-2 draw would earn each team 2 points It really pushes the team to go for the win
just make it 4 pts for a win... do you remember, this was why footie became 3 pts for a win...maybe we have to go further. but rewards for goals scored etc just makes a mockery of it all. I want to look at the W D L columns and understand how the table is, not that a team gets an extra pt for scoring 4 at Peterboro some midweek...
1 point for a win! Nowt for anything else! The team that wins the most matches wins the league, simple!
