Good following as they aren't having the season they had hoped for. They have beat us in six of our last ten games, so they are bound to be confident........ https://www.11v11.com/teams/barnsley/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Middlesbrough/
Good following. Nearly all of their wins against us in the last 20 years have been at the Riverside, where we rarely show up for some reason. Can only remember them beating us once at Oakwell, early days under Keef. I'm not counting the cup game when we were in league 1 because - well, we were in league 1 and they were in the championship.
I think it was against Middlesbrough at home where kipper got on the roof of the snack hut to the right of the ponte and managed to keep both stewards and police at arms length by standing on their fingers as they tried to climb on the roof for him.
Just a heads up. Some Boro folk are very angry at the moment about the state of their team / season. I reckon a nice win by us might lead to a not so nice response from them.
These are the games where we have to turn up and win if we are to give ourselves any chance of staying up.
Looks like they have some injuries to key players for Saturday's game. Irrespective of their line up, we've said it before, but it's a game we have to win especially after our brilliant display at Fulham last Saturday. Let's hope we can pick up where we left off. https://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/sp...relegation-battle-ahead-oakwell-clash-1883937
With pay on the gate, they’ll bring over 4K I’d imagine. Meaning we’ll have between 16-17k in total. Looking at attendances, I think we could have smashed 18-19k this season in some bigger games if we were more mid-table and doing ok.
He got the vote of confidence from Steve Gibson before Christmas and expressed a wish to be able to add some quality to his squad in January. He brought some players in, but other deals fell through. You would think, that now being only six points above the drop zone, if they don't start picking points up soon, Woodgate's tenure could come under threat. https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport...ghs-nightmare-january-scenario-never-17682143
Seems to me that sticking with a manager is becoming a thing of the past for some clubs. I think he's doing an ok job for them, hes young and still learning so if I were a fan I think I'd be in the stick rather than twist camp.
