Picking over the bones, course it was a bad day at the office for them rather than meeting a better team. Fans not back yet, be interesting reading later. http://oneboro.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=4074&page=41
Aye. It's only the third time in four seasons we have beaten them at home. Bad day at the office and all that. Mind you, the Boro fans I spoke to were very nice, and wanted to know who the blond lad in our midfield was, because he was the best player on the park in their opinions.
That must be the kid that runs around a lot but does nothing, apparently when you watch him from the east stand upper he runs around even more to no avail.
Leeds fans I work with thought he was best player on pitch when we beat them away last season. i think we missed him more than anyone after xmas last season
Their forum more about Emnes isn't a winger than the fact a 3 million quid man got done all afternoon by an inexperience kid.
Boro lads on train back were a bit critical of Emnes being on wing but were very critical of Emnes in general. Slagged him off to buggery actually. Stones and Wiseman did well against him
Same here. In fact, lost count of the number of times opposing fans have said he is the best player on the pitch in fact. We missed him as much as Drinkwater last season. He is critical to the way the team play. He is not the most gifted footballer but he is probably the most hardworking player I have ever seen in a Barnsley shirt.
To be fair there... Fans of every club blame poor performances of their own players for a loss. It happens week in week out on here. It's not an indication of perceived status or anything. Just a function of concentrating on your own players, knowing your own players and having certain expections of those players. In a league where every team can beat any other it really does come down to who has an off day.
