Pity they can’t both lose but yeah a draw is the more favourable outcome for us, provided we do out bit .
a draw would be good for us, but if there is a winner I would prefer it to be 'Boro . Because Stoke are more in our range than 'Boro right now.
Middlesbrough look awful. I’ll be surprised if Stoke don’t get a goal to snatch it in the second half.
Surely it’s the other way round? If we overtake Stoke we are still in relegation zone, it’s fourth from bottom we want to catch
I'm not watching it but it sounds like both teams are terrible which makes it all the more frustrating that we lost to both of them.
2-1 if I was been critical lindsay could have closed the space down faster for boros 2nd but a great strike
If we win tomorrow we go above Stoke. If Swansea beat Luton at Kenilworth Road tomorrow and Blackburn beat Wigan at Ewood on Monday, we will be in with a shout of climbing out of the bottom three. Having said that West Brom at home and Swansea away are two really difficult games.
If I were neutral looking at the table I would fancy us Wigan and Luton to go down. That said we are just about clinging onto our fighting chance.
Hope Jordan Williams is right with what he's saying in today's Chronicle re- " we've come through a tough spell and will now move up the Championship table". He goes on " if we keep going and stick to his ( GS) game plan then everything will be alright. The fans have stuck with us and we're trying to repay them. There are a lot of games over Christmas and we can hopefully pick up a lot of points and be OK. We need to see out games more and be more solid and not let teams back in. We are developing every game and talking more. We need to be tighter at the back and if we keep talking and improving, we'll get there. This Coach's system is for full backs to defend whereas it was attacking and defending. I can still get forward but I have to stay back when the other full back goes forward. It's a more clear game plan now." He concludes by saying " the new coach has been a breath of fresh air. We didn't get a result in his first two games but, after that, we have done well and we're slowly getting used to his plan and his style which is now starting to produce results."
