Swindon keeper sent off after 17 mins - Boston missed resulting penalty so it could have been worse! Two mates of mine are Swindon fans & have gone down there - poor sods!
To be fair to him He just tends to score. 32 league starts for Swindon. 17 goals. Better than a goal every other game, which is excellent by anyone's standard. And his record was pretty good for us considering he was learning the game. 33 starts, 11 goals. I liked Gudjon, but I thought he made a major error letting Fallon go. Not the prettiest footballer or the most skilfull by any stretch of the imagination, but the lad scores goals and players like that should not be allowed to leave.
RE: To be fair to him Barnsley's answer to Nat Lofthouse. If you could still bundle goalies into the back of the net, he's get 30 a season. A couple of seasons ago he got away with it (in the game that my geordie mate described as "the worse game of professional football I've ever seen"). I think the ref had a flashback to 1934. And their goal was 20 yards offside. I think it could've even been against Swindon.
RE: To be fair to him went to a sporting dinner with Gudjon as guest just after Worwy had left and asked him why he'd let him go-to paraphrase he said that if he thought he was going to make it as a footballer he wouldn't have let him go
