Purches and Foley both had shots fall wide of goal as Cherries kept pressing at every opportunity.Barnsley were always quick on the counter attack and moved the ball forward well to pose a threat on a new look Cherries back line with Griffiths and Howe both returning from injury to start.</p> On sixty-four minutes Stephen Foley drew a good save from Colgan with a run and drive from the edge of the box.Four minutes later Eddie Howe was involved in a scramble in the area when again meeting the ball at the back post. It won Cherries a tenth corner of the game and Griffiths rose highest to head in the top corner from Foley's kick.</p> McPhail then nearly scored his second of the match with a snap shot from the edge of the area that went over. Griffiths was coping well in his first start for the club and was spurred on by his goal to produce a quality end to the game.Aaron Brown was winning his fair share of aerial balls up front and a flick missed by a Barnsley defender gave Cooke a chance to test an increasingly busier Colgan.</p> Cherries had Barnsley on the back foot late into the game and introduced Brett Pitman to provide a fresh option up front in the closing stages.
