I'm going down tomorrow to pick up a couple of season tickets.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the robbing b*stards will charge me for using a debit card in the box office?

I did try calling them, but they wanted me to dial an 0871 number and pay for the privilege of asking them whether or not I have to pay for the privilege of paying them. They can whistle.

    Thanks in advance.

50p charge for a debit card, 3% charge if you want to use a credit card.

I have no problem with them passing on the charge for credit cards but to pass on the charge of a debit card is just a bit pathetic in my opinion - it costs them money to bank cash as well - basic bank charges are part of the cost of running a business and should be considered when setting the price. Do they still take cheques? and if so is there a charge.

I paid by cheque last year but they wouldn't give me the ST book til the cheque had cleared meaning I had to make two visits - not a problem for me as I pass there every day; however, not so easy for "distance" supporters.
