Think they deserve a medal Some of the questions they get asked on Twitter is ridiculous Someone asked the other day if they put vodka in a pop bottle would they be kicked off the coach They have patience of a sin Well done to all involved in shifting all these tickets in the last week Not easy when people are asking daft questions all week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Some of the stuff they have to put up with in the box office is just as daft. Went last week to renew season ticket and the task of simply handing over your season pass and saying "can i renew that please" seemed to confuse people beyond comprehension. One old boy didn't take his with him, but despite being told its ok they could do it if he just gave them his name and address, decided the easier way would be to spend 5 minutes vaguely describing where his seat was instead. Another younger fan enquired about the finance option. The lady spent some time explaining how it worked and even started filling the form in online for him at his request. He seemed a bit baffled as to why he needed his bank details though before finally telling the lady not to bother as he would have a look when he got home instead. I was only in 20 minutes but you felt like slapping some of them on the back of the head for their stupidity.
Have to say whenever I've been in there I've seen the same kind of thing: really helpful and patient staff. (Especially when dealing with idiots like me who manage to lose their season ticket every other week...).
I had a right clown ahead of the queue I was in when I went to renew. Didn't know his postcode and kept answering his bloody mobile phone despite the fact the lady behind the counter was talking to him.
We've got some really good staff in that box office. Always polite and happy to help, which can't always be easy with some of the garbage they have to put up with (stories in this thread for example). Tickets are always delivered quickly.
Can't praise the box office staff and club shop staff enough. Take a lot of stick on Twitter and Facebook and there's no need they do a sterling job. The Twitter account gets updated when box office is closed so doing it for nothing.
