If Bradford get to the league cup final and play Swansea and end up winning will they play in Europe next year
Unfortunately that's not correct. As Swansea are Welsh they cannot qualify for Europe via the English league, so I presume it is the same for the English League Cup. I therefore wondered whether this means that the winner of Villa and Bradford automatically will qualify for the Europa League (providing Chelsea finish in the top 4 and Swansea remain Welsh), but after checking it out, apparently if the League Cup winners don't qualify for the Europa League for whatever reason the 6th place team in the Premiership qualify. Only the FA Cup runners up benefit in that way.
Swansea can play in Europe if they win it, well thats what the taffy fa chairman said on talk sport anyway
As Swansea are Welsh they cannot qualify for Europe via the English league what would happen if swansea finish in the european places in the league then? ie 1st to 4th for champions league ?
Sorry, I got hold of the wrong end of the stick with Welsh clubs in the English league system. they can qualify for Europe apparently, providing they don't enter the Welsh Cup.
Millwall, Birmingham, Bolton & Pompey all played recently in the Europa League. I hold out hope for us that in my lifetime l see us playing an Europa League fixture in some third world country, we came close in 2008. The more the top clubs disrespect the League Cup, the more chance we have. Pity we are normally gash in that cup.
