For over 1.5/2mn I’ll drive him wherever he wants to go personally. Any less and we should run his contract down.
From GG's last communication in early/mid June “We’re not under any pressure to sell anybody. Obviously, we’ve been relegated so I am sure everyone can understand that some have expressed a desire to play above League One level"
Peter O'Rourke is fairly accurate. Here's the link: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/07/1...onsiders-transfer-request/&utm_source=Twitter
If that’s his attitude let him hand in a transfer request, then we don’t have to pay up the rest of his contract. Perhaps Millwall don’t rate Bradshaw quite as highly as he rates himself if they only think he’s worth half of Marc McNulty from League 2. I’ve said previously if he wants to stay we should do our utmost to keep him. If he wants out then get a decent fee and let him toil at Millwall for a season. He’s a very good league 1 striker. Average championship.
They should have shown that desire last season then they might have been playing at a higher level than league 1. Not having a pop at you BTW pal
He's a league 1 player for me, we should keep him and let him rediscover his goal scoring prowess with us. In saying that I think he will leave. #bringinagerman
Transfer request is irrelevant really. Just show him our valuation of him and tell him if anyone matches it we'll consider it. It would have to be a very good fee and we'd need to be sure that we have an equally good replacement either ready to come in or already at the club.
Players don’t like to put in a request as it means they forfeit the remaining value of their contract. Agree with you though & im fairly sure the club have told Millwall or any suiters, as well as Bradshaw and his agent, what is deemed acceptable to the club. Bradshaw has form for this at previous clubs. I’m not sure his attitude will fit in with what the coaches are looking for. His desire to claim any dubious goal last year and splash it all over Instagram and Twitter shows who Tom Bradshaw really plays for. If he goes to a bottom end championship club he’s in for another season of struggle. If that’s what he wants good luck to him. He’ll need it at Millwall. He’s hardly got the ability or physical game of Lee Gregory or Steve Morrison. I think he would do well next year next to Kieffer Moore. I’d prefer him to stay. But think he’s easier to replace at our level now than Kieffer - look at Marriot at Peterborough. One decent season, that relies on pace, and he’s potentially going for £3m+.
There is a difference if a player hands in a transfer request, they are no longer entitled to their contract being paid up. Means the net the club receive is therefore more without having to pay off a year to the player. (or what he said above!!!) I seem to recall he handed in a transfer request at Walsall to ease the process after we hit deadlock on a fee.
