watching the recording of the game highlights why Souza is not the finished article
For the first goal Howard is fouled about2 yards short of the centre circle in left midfield.
Souza takes it short to Werling on the left and moves back towards goal
He then receives the ball from Werling who is now in acres of space crying out for the easy return ball
But Souza looks up and tries a 40 yard pass which goes to a Hull defender
The ball drops to Him wi' a reight shiner and Souza is now ball watching rather than watching Campbell on his left side
He belatedly realises his mistake and throws a half hearted arm in the air in the vain hope of an offside but is now two yards behind the goal scorer -game over

He's a bit of an enigma ............ .......... Monday apart (when he was woeful for the whole game) he's played well for the 'majority' of every game that he's played, however, I would also say he has been at fault for the majority of the goals we have conceded, he seems to go to sleep and lose his man in the box at the wrong time, and it has cost us quite a few times already this season
He competes in the air and its noticeable that we seem more capable of dealing with high balls into the box with him in the side. that said, it was concentration and lack of pace that led to the first 2 goals, and thats a worry. for that reason, I'd like to see him alongside Foster, with Nytanga at left back, that way we've a bit more cover should we come up against similar opposition. Any manager watching us on Monday night will be wanting to get a small, pacey striker in and around Souza to make him uncomfortable again. Leicester have Ian Hulme, for example.
