    Former Barnsley striker Dave Geddis will assist John Carver at Leeds United following Kevin Blackwell's sacking yesterday afternoon.

    Geddis spent a brief spell at Oakwell during the early 1980's, netting 24 goals in 50 games.

    Former Charlton boss Alan Curbishley is the bookies favourite to take over at Elland Road with Dennis Wise, Glenn Hoddle and Claudio Ranieri also amongst the front runners.
