BARNSLEY manager Andy Ritchie will hold his pre-match press call after training today ahead of Saturday's clash with Luton Town. Press requests should be e-mailed to website@barnsleyfc.co.uk. Yes Rob Knowles still isn't just emailing everyone on the mailing list to remind them. Do we really need to know this before every match ?
Not that old chestnut again Choose yourself a random football league team, look at their website and count up the number of news stories published that day. Then do the same for another ten random football league websites.
I'm sure that you'll then see my point that I have rasied countless times in the past. We appear to be the only team out of all of the clubs that have this clause in our contract. None of the others publish so many news stories.

RE: fair enough I bet you can't guess who it was that posted that little contract clause on here in the first place can you.
I'll give you a clue, he looks at the board a hell of a lot but doesn't post (anymore).

ps Here's a few examples of how many breaking news stories appeared on some official sites yesterday. After all the below I got bored of looking for a site that posts even half the number of 'news' stories that Barnsley do.
MK Dons: 0 Stoke: 0 Rotherham: 1 Doncaster: 1 Cardiff: 1 Blackpool: 1 Norwich: 1 Burnley: 3 Colchester: 3 Hull: 3 Preston: 3 Sheffield United: 4 Sheffield Wednesday: 5 Wolves: 5 Barnsley: 14

Wonder if there is commission in it? Maybe every "Breaking News" story generates a small amount of income for the club most clubs dont really bother publishing unless there is real news because the extra few quid isnt worth it, however we are keen to get every penny. Its a theory that fits the facts possibly
