FIA launch investigation into BMW and Williams over 'fuel irregularity's'. If found guilty Nico Rosberg, Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld could all be disqualified meaning Hamilton would be crowned champion. Be great if it happens.
Not sure about that but... I did say to the missus after the race, the way this season has gone it's not all over yet until the investigations, complaints and bickering have all died down.
RE: I am sure Hamilton agrees Why didn't Hamilton have his points docked when the team's construction championship points were docked? That was a strange one, can only think it's because they knew such a move would do great harm to the image of the sport....again if the title is decided by off track events they would be shooting themselves in the foot.
RE: These "off track events" of which you speak I mean by points deductions rather than the race itself They aren't going to do that, it'll end up being a slap on the wrist
So if there been some cheating on the track? If a driver has had an unfair advantage on the track which is discovered following the race? then what?? Nowt will happen though even if Hamilton has effectively been cheated out of places and points.
Well fuel irregularities are hardly... ...off-track events but I think it would be hard on Raikonnen. I think they were correct not to dock the drivers' points for the spying scandal because the driver has never had a car performance handicap applied if you see what I mean. Drivers are always competing on an uneven keel with some cars faster than others. So even if the McLaren benefitted from some wrong-doings, as long as the drivers were innocent, they should keep their points. I haven't explained that very well have I.
RE: Have straws, will clutch!!! nt I'm with you on that one. If they have gained and unfair advantage then they should be disqualified.
Some cars were under investigation during the race... .. Think it said 3 and 21 to be investigated after the race. Is it linked, in some way?
That was the crash I think mate. Sakon Yamamoto and Giancarlo Fisichella in the first couple of laps.
Guilty by association. The drivers were driving cars that had gained an unfair advantage and should therefore be punished aswell as the team. To use a football example, it's like saying a club that goes into administration shouldn't have points deducted as the finances of the club are (largely) nowt to do with the players, so the players shouldn't be punished.
No... ...that was the incident when the Renault re-entered the track and the Spyker smashed into the back of him. I think that was them... I'll check.
RE: Guilty by association. "it's like saying a club that goes into administration shouldn't have points deducted" To be honest, I think that's a pretty stupid rule.
