Wish him all the best but the Club need to sort this out before the beginning of the season we could end up losing out if it drags on.

 

I asked him yesterday if he was staying he said "looks like it"

I then asked him do you want to stay - "I don't know"

Read into that what you will

 

That sounds very depressing.
If it's true that the Club have had no contact with him as he has said, then that is poor man management in my opinion.
Players are like prima donnas and need to feel wanted and have their egoes massaged etc etc etc.
If it means keeping him then that's what they must do, however, it looks to me as if he doesn't want to play for us any more and that's sad.
Time to let him move on but he will be very hard to replace.

 

He has done a lot of good things for this club,but Barnsley fc has been good for him as well, hope he sorts this out soon.

I'm not suprised at his comments. This Howard saga has dragged on for months now and fans are turning against him on his so called commitment to the club. Why dosn't the club come out with a statement to say they have offered him a new contract if they want him to stay. If not, let him go and inform clubs that he is for sale. I would be upset if Brian Howard left, but all this paper talk,and big money transfers to every club in the football league is having a negative effect on the build up to the new season. So come on Barnsleyfc, it's either yay or nay and lets put these rumours to bed once and for all.

We should get shut if he is saying he wants to leave. Take the £2.5m and get it spent on a replacement, a LB and another striker. Job done. BFC can't let this drag on for much longer. Staying (and committed) or gone?

 

£2.5m is a dream IMO. There is no way we'll even get close to that amount. Unless a bidding war starts we'll get less than £1.5m, especially seeing as we've had no offers yet for him. Could see him moving to someone like Stoke or Hull, but the rumours of Villa and Everton surprise me, I really cant see him there.

I want to jump ship to another employer based in a sun drenched island, get paid loads and become champion of the universe. Unfortunately like BH nobody has made an offer so I'll just have to carry on as I am.
