Was speaking to somebody at the club today about the tickets for Wembley, iv been told that the club have taken the offer for an additional 800 tickets in the top two price tiers (45-55) this is 100% FACT, but the club are not sure as of yet how to distribute them yet, iv been told to keep my eyes peeled to the official clubsite as there will be more info posted on there in due course. let the battle comence
Clever Bluebird http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=104371&mid=674520#M674520 The club should just distribute them on a first come first served basis at this late stage. So if someone wants to buy 50 tickets at 55 a piece, let them. I'm more interested in how our club expect them to get to Wembley at such short notice, if they aren't willing to put on a couple more coaches.
How could they get more £45 tickets when those were behind the goal and hemmed in by the £55 ones? Would have thought they'd had all of those that they could
RE: Clever Bluebird Nowt to do with the club how they get there....don't buy tickets if you don't have the means to get there.
oh i also forgot to add the Club are not doing swaps IE you have a £35 but fancy a £55 you cant swap them and pay the difference. its a none starter that idea
disgraceful if this is true there were hundreds of us in the 45 pound queue when they sold out, we were all obviously reluctant to abandon hope and change to 25 pound tickets but we were absolutely assured there would be no chance of getting anything but. The club must have been aware that this was a possibility even if it was not guaranteed to happen.
My Dad was 6 from the front of that queue when it sold out Wasnt happy to get the £25's but didnt have much choice Cant see us going back for seconds though
we were not that far behind him then probably about 20 or so in front of us in the 45 pound queue, were a bit disappointed but we apparently had no choice and there are no truly bad seats in Wembley. However, people who didn't even try to queue the first time will now get our tickets and your tickets, and they won't be st holders as I reckon everyone's got their seats now.
RE: disgraceful if this is true Bit harsh to blame the club. Its the FA that control the allocation of tickets for sale. They even set rules for how BFC could sell them. I am sure the club would not have know there would be an offer of more £45 tickets later. And even if they did. Would you have rather waited on the off chance that you might get one?
mate, letting people buy 50 tickets would be a terrible idea it would just lead to touts buying them!
maybe not but some may have and if the club did have knowledge of the probability of this happening it would have been nice to know, it's just that we were absolutely assured there would be no chance of more tickets whatsoever. We were actually told there were no tickets left at all then they continued selling small groups the next day, which would have been no use to us but I'm sure there were many people only wanting 1 or 2 tickets who bought the 25 pound variety on this assurance.
fall into that category Knowlesy. Would have quite happily taken the small groups but was told that under no circumstances was there going to be any so bought £25 tickets, only to find they were then selling £45 seats the day after and day after that too.
lol thanks for that. I think that the whole ticket selling arrangements for this season have been a farce and gordon shepherd needs to act now to ensure that should we beat cardiff the same thing wont happen again otherwise he can expect sales of season tickets to significantly fall next season
yeah I knew there would be a few like that, just seems like the people there didn't know how many tickets were left, we were told they had almost sold out an hour before it was announced they had, and as you say they continued selling them for a further two days at least
correct Spartacus You simply cannot please everyone.... Especially Barnsley fans! Maybe the club were told they wouldn't get no more tickets. Who knows??
semi final arrangements weren't fine. The club rushed selling the tickets in the least amount of time possible while all three other clubs spread them out, this forced supporters to queue in the cold for several hours when it wasn't needed. They also gave season ticket holders too many tickets causing panic and rushes on the first day. Add to that the fact that people were turned away and told that certain categories of tickets were completly sold out when it turned out that they quite clearly were not then I would say that the semi final arrangements were a complete **** up, along with chelsea and liverpool.
GOOD NEWS FOR ONCE!!!!!....... But for goodness sake please don't let it get in the way of us finding something to moan about blame the club for.
