Started off out wide but then got stuck in the middle by Danny to try and counteract their dominance in midfield. Didn't really work and I'm not sure he knew where he was supposed to be playing. Decent player though, glad he's signed on for a bit longer, worth it just to annoy the tool who tried to wind us all up about it.

I thought he was very poor tonight though perked a bit last 10 minutes and if people don't think Paddy is a team player well we didn't get much team player from him tonight

I just can't work him out at all. Wanders round doing nowt, but then gets stuck in and starts winning the ball. Then starts attacking, but a few minutes later looks like someone who's never seen a football before. Normally after a few games you can form an opinion on someone, but I just can't work out whether he's a load of old rubbish or a footballing genius. Must be frustrating to play against, but must be even more frustrating to play with.

Spot on analysis. Looked at times tonight that everyone was giving their all (even if not always effectively) except for him then he starts flying into challenges.

Bonkers formation, but I agree, he was pants tonight. Along with O'Brien, he is scared of challenging for headers and has all the physical presence of Pauline Calf.

He's raw but there's loads of potential there. Can see why Stoke spent decent money on him. He's clearly a wide player, he looks a real threat running at full backs

Still having nightmares about him shooting instead of laying it off to Cywka to make it 3-2, though.

I think he'll come good. The formation caused us problems and the midfield and full backs were rubbish. So he didn't have much to work with. I thought Jennings also suffered for similar reasons. In a settled line up and formation, I think he'll do well.

Looks like a decent footballer, but annoys the **** out of mw when he doesn't challenge for a header, especially for a lad of his height.

Looks a decent player to me, wasnt great last night but wouldn't say he was poor either. And you don't get 25 caps for the USA (a place behind England in the current rankings) if you're not a good player. He'll be reyt for us.
