Don't really get the issue with this. We've selectively bred animals and crops for thousands of years, without which we wouldn't have chickens, pigs, cows, bananas, wheat, broccoli, cauliflower... the list is a mile long.

I don't see any long term issues to eating GM foods, although like many other things in this world, I'm sure that it should be adequately labelled up and we should be able to make an informed choice.

Absolutely this. I've always found the anti-GM stance of the USA very weird given that they routinely treat "natural" animals and crops with utter disdain.

It'll only be effective in post brexit britain if the gene edited veggies can pick themselves, package themselves and deliver themselves to the supermarket shelves

Perhaps we'll have genetically modified mushrooms which grow in the dingy damp hovels we'll all live in to sustain us?

I can’t cope with all this winning.

I don’t know wether to be angry or just laugh when those that voted for it try and claim nothing is ever to do with Brexit.

An baffled by it all in all honesty!
Interesting is life though.... people quote "the press" when it suits , and then dismiss other "press releases " when it doesnt suit . General observation btw

It’s really easy to understand if the press release is perceived to be from a Tory favouring outlet, its always lies. If the press release is from a Labour favouring outlet it’s always true.
As a general rule of thumb.

Not necessarily I feel...obviously they both lie in my opinion. As they do when making pledges during the elections!
Just my take on it I hasten to add
