good to have both options-they both add something different to the squad-and injuries are possible as we get further into the season-good for McP to feel his place isn't guaranteed

he told us he was a central midfielder didn't he...

...and he took some hammer for that i seem to remember as did rithcie.

but he is probably the better option at the moment...gets stuck in. which is what we need.

where will kell fit in like?

Kell is definitely a central midfielder

    No doubt in my mind.

    Probably replace Burns.

Can't see him playing for a while though

thought he was a central midfielder?

pretty sure he isn't a winger, more like a defensive midfielder?

have to agree. has more of a physical element to his game, much needed at this level. can they play together though? I'm sure Ritchie is pondering on that one. whats for sure is competition for places in midfield can only be a positive thing, and push those in the places to maintain the high level of performance. no waking up and thinking "hmmmm, off day today for me".....

Great to have quality in depth. Ritchie has got a nice selection problem their.(Y)
I have been very impressed with both players this season. Also their is Kell to come back.

I'd play McPhail and Howard together - against bradford (0-0) they absolutley feckin brilliant. Retaining posession, moving for each other, breaking up bradford attacks and setting ours going intelligently.

Don't get me wrong I like Burns but when you take workrate out of his game there isn't a lot of guile!

Kell - could be good addition. We have a squad for the first time in ages!!
