Talked to him for a good quarter of an hour. Says he thinks they will go up through the playoffs; he thought Brum would just pinch 2nd place, but I'm not so sure. Also says that if we go down, JCR will definitely go in the summer.

Oh, and he was absolutely ****-faced. Same ol Bri :)

Its beyond me that any Barnsley fan can have a conversation with this guy....

........No, Brian Howard is not responsible for the dire situation Barnsley Football Club finds itself in

But his poor behaviour towards Barnsley Football club this season hasn't foooking helped either !!!
His actions at the begining of the season got Barnsley off to a poor start
A start that we have never been able to get over
And since he left the club he has done nothing but shout how much Sheffield United is better than Barnsley

There's a few things that have gone wrong this season and Brian Howard is one of them
Relegation will cost Barnsley (Pat Cryne) £££££millions

Anyone who has any feelings for Barnsley Football Club must truely hate Brian Howard
So how can a fan of our club stop and have a freindly chat with the *******...........its beyond me

Still haven't replaced him. He would have been the difference.

10-12 goals, he was the only player that dare shoot within 30yards, we are missing his goals and creativity.

RE: Still haven't replaced him. He would have been the difference.......Yep

...........his goals would have made all the difference........Championship football guaranteed next season

Instead he moves to one of our bitterest rivals and shouts from the roof tops how good it is at Bramhall Lane compared to Barnsley

Surely Barnsley kids of today have more about them to let this guy into their company

Turn the clock back a few years and this guy WOULD NOT be able to walk through the streets of Barnsley

    But he's right!

Sheffield United are set-up to run like a Premiership club. We could'nt run a fecking bath! Plain and Simple.

It's only because it's Sheff U that everyone hates him (myself included) and the Morgan/Hume incident fuelled that.

    RE: But he's right...........no he isn't

.......theres only one difference between Sheffield United and Barnsley and thats ............McCabe

and all what Howard has done is jump on the McCabe gravey train

after he had upset the dressing room he should have at least said how sorry he was to leave Barnsley and how Barnsley has helped him to get where he is............but we have heard nothing but bitterness towards Barnsley since he left and to rub salt into the wounds he has constantly talked up Sheffield United

Brian Howard is a first class .........****

PS. compare what Brian Howard has said to what Danny Wilson said when he left Barnsley

    Actually...

I'm not convinced that he is anti-Barnsley or embittered about us at all. He is just a professional, and is probably just indifferent to us. He has done well for himself out of us - no doubt he is on a big wage at United, he wasn't on a pittence with us, but he's moved to a club that are in position to achieve a lot more than what we are right now. He has been quite candid in the way that he has reflected on the differences between the two setups, and he hasn't pulled any punches in his opinions - but it doesn't seem to me that he's embittered, because actually a lot of what he has had to say actually looks like it is fairly sincere and genuine - i.e. Sheffield United are bound to be a lot more confident and together in the dressing room (they're in the playoffs while we fight relegation on the final day), we all have our doubts about Davey (to put it mildly) is it wrong for him to express his? As for the setup of the two clubs - I think we all know that BFC still has a long way to go in its marketing and public relations, it's general setup, to actually compare itself to the clubs in the Prem. You only have to look at the club shop and the stuff that gets written by the club journalist to tell that. For the record, I'd think that the bloke had a lot more dignity and class if moved on and left us to it, and the fact that he boozing in town when he's not making the first team for them regularly, does seem to undermine his credibility a bit - but I wouldn't wish physical harm on the guy, I've still got a lot of gratitude for what he did for us and what he helped us to achieve before he left. I'd have him back like a shot - no messing about. If we stop up, get a decent manager in, and sheffield united get promoted - you never know, we might just get a second go with Brian Howard (although some of the stuff that he has said about our foreign players may stand in the way of that).
