Do we have to sell now.........even if the asking price is £5 million Maybe under John Dennis we would have to sell, but do we need to sell now under PC ??? Do you know why we have so many people in the Barnsley district with no connection with Sheffield or Leeds but support Wendy or Blunts or Weeds Because they all say the same thing.........Barnsley Football Club has no ambition they always sell their best players Over the years I've heard this said hundreds of times BRIAN HOWARD stays and we build round him.................end of / full stop / period
I agree nudger I hope he stays, and because he wants to stay.
He has grown with the club and improved. Why out him for somebody cheaper who may not be as good.
We should be keeping and developing our good players.

"Barnsley Football Club has no ambition"... ...commonly heard prior to our season in the Premiership.
????????????????????? a £5million interest free loan is a whopping debt-just pray he never asks for it back!
Nope Wouldnt even have done had we won the Cup itself Though it would have gone a long way towards clearing it Didnt I see somewhere we pocketed about £1.5million from the cup run and isnt our debt the wrong side of £5million
no according to the Daily Mirror he wants a new contract for more money - and would be ok if that was with Barnsley. If I could be bothered I'd find the other thread with this widely discussed.
He certainly should stay, having a player who got into the best team in the championship this season, says it all.
Absolutely - bearing in mind that he's the choice of his fellow professionals, that's a huge honour both for him and the club.
Whats going to tempt him away size of the club or the amount of the money because we won't be able to match what bigger teams offer.
I was hoping we wouldn't be seeing you again Nudge but ne'er mind eh? Depends how much money is offered. If this £3m is right (can't see it) I'd snatch their hand off. Howard's been missing in too many games this season. At the start, yes, he was **** hot. His goals have kept us up, yes, no doubt. Pity the cup run took his (and a few more of the side) eyes off the ball (ie the league) meaning folk weren't tackling in case they missed the Chelsea game then the Semi at Wembley. We'd have been relegated if we'd have won the semi.
