Can't fault him, yes i'd love him to stay for the rest of his days, but lets get real here everyone has ambition. and palying amongst the best as such he wants more. Yep can't fault him.
He's only showing he has ambition. I would be more concerned if he said he wanted to stay in the Championship playing in the comfort zone. The only way he will go to the Premiership is if he's good enough and the only way he can show that is by playing out of his skin every week for us. With guidance from SD he could one day play in the Premiership with us.
I think that yesterday proved just how good Howard could be in the Prem. He had more space when he got the ball and made Liverpool pay, everytime he got the ball he looked to make things happen going forward.In the Championship he gets tightly marked, sometimes doubly marked, he is snuffed out of the game. More space in the midfield yesterday and he was superb.
He was ending the interview and he asked to say one last thing and said i keep getting labelled a forward and i am a midfielder The two on talksport then kinda made a joke of him trying to advertise himself and he kinda got into a debate that more or less said he was advertising himself Cant remember the exact wording but if i was unsure about him staying next season this imo was proof to me he wants off, which if offered to better himself i dont blame him
every player in that team will want to play in the premier league. it would be very concerning if they didn't want to.
Howard told the manager and chairman that if they accepted a bid, he would refuse to go. He loves it here, far more than he is given credit for. Obviously if a Prem club comes in and he thinks he could get a regular game, he might go. But I think he deserves a lot more credit for his commitment. He could have gone for free in the Summer, and he chose not to.
not disputing that but maybe this game was a wakeup call quieting any demons he might have had of not been good enough, like redders had?
