A mate was talking to Brian in town last night and he said that on Friday afternoon he signed a new 2 year contract to stay at Oakwell.

The last 3 contracts to be announced Hassell et al. were signed six weeks ago.

So don't be surprised if it's true.

I heard the same and that Simon Davey isnt wasting any time lining up the players he wants to bring in next season.

I hope that's true. Ritchie took too long about it last season. It's important Davey brings in who he wants as quickly as possible. That will give the new signings plenty of time to move here, get to know the team mates etc.

It might settle the doom mongers on here down a bit if we get players of quality in early doors.

Might also add to season ticket sales if the signings are box office.

    Oh, yes.

But there will always be someone moaning abaht summat and now as an excuse for not getting a season ticket.

Has anyone actually got any idea as to what a "Box Office " player is?

I think I should re phrase that.

Who would you consider to be box office players who are affordable, still able to shine in the Championship, and who would come to a medium size provincial Club.?

I don't want to see a bunch of has beens from the Prem down at Oakwell for a last easy pay day like the bunch of losers Spackman brought in.

    Nardiello to stay as well!

Spoke to both of the lads on a very messy night out round the tarn! Was way before any of us were drunk and both said they have signed on for next season. When I asked Nards, he was very happy to have been offered a new contract as well

Most of them were out, Reidy, Bri, Nards, Ozzie, Mccann, Togs, Colgan, Rico, Ant, Rhys someone (forgot his last name!), Luke Potter, Bobby Hassell, Hecky, Nathan Joynes, think Thomas Harban but not sure. Dale Tonge was out as well for his b/day, came up on Sat eve, he was well gone when we got to O Dwyers at 7.30..been out all aft! Was a good nite tho, fun was had by all lol! Nardis round in Livingstones...£88!! Took us ages to order cos he kept adding random people at the bar on the list and forgetting who wanted what!! :D
