<h1 class="art-headline">Howard hits out </h1><h2 class="art-byline">Brian Howard has blasted his Barnsley bosses for putting a staggering £10million price tag on his head. </h2><p class="art-p">The Tykes skipper, 25, has a year left on his Oakwell contract and is a £3m target for Everton, Wigan and Bolton. </p><p class="art-p">Howard (left), a hero of his side's run to the FA Cup semi-finals, would be happy to stay if Barnsley handed him a double-your-money deal worth £8,000 a week. </p><p class="art-p">But he said last night: "Although they say they want to keep me, nobody at the club has been in touch with me yet to offer me a new contract. </p><div class="ad0 ad-mpu" id="mpu1" style="display: block">"I am in limbo. I feel I have given great service to this club, and I would like them to recognise that by doing one of two things - either give me the contract I am worth or sell me. And by that, I mean doing me the courtesy of selling me at a realistic price." </div>
He spoke in the Daily Star yesterday and it said he wants his 4k a week wages doubled. I am sure it was old news as Howie apparently said he was due back to pre season training in five weeks and is still in limbo. I'm sure they will be back before the second week of July.
Can't he leave them alone. It looks to me like it's him doing all the talking and telling everyone exactly who's interested in him.
