Don't understand why he gets so much stick he gives his all and you can rely on him to get goals by far one of best players in the last couple of seasons. Without him last season we would of been in league 1.

The best player at Oakwell in quite a few seasons

I totally agree. In the last few seasons he's been superb. This season?

    This season

He has been no worse than anyone else.
Occasionally he's looked a class above everyone else
    Quite often he's looked frustrated
    Never has he not tried
    But
He is still our main "playmaker" and does not deserve half the abuse he gets on here.

He's been no better than anyone else. So why does that seem to mean he should be immune from any form of criticism? He was shocking at Blackpool. and shocking last night. Are we supposed to just say "oh well, its Brian Howard?" He often does look frustrated, I agree, but maybe if he spent more time concentrating on what he does when he gets the ball instead of bollocking everyone else within earshot for not passing him the ball every time they get it, he might start to produce the goals and assists that he's provided for the last 2 years and that he's failing to provide this season.

He's been no worse than anyone else. I agree. But everyone else is getting criticised. Why should he be immune from it?

I'm not going to disagree re Blackpool as I wasn't there - but immune from criticism?? I don't think so. Everey time we lose it seems to be "Howard's not interested".
I don't think he's been brilliant by any means, but I think he's giving his all .... then again, I'm a sucker for anyone who kisses the badge (vs Cov)

    Give up now

its common knowledge that he is rubbish and does not try or look interested, he goes out for a drink after the match too, so he must be at fault for every single problem we have, he must pick the team , take training ang decide the tactics or lack of them. He also buys all the new players and plays them in the wrong position.

He cant EVER have a good game or do anything decent.

I thought everyone knew these things cos they are FACTS

    apparently. (doh)

You're suggesting he doesn't deserve criticism. He's getting no more criticism than Souza, Moore, Devaney, Odejayi, Macken, Mostto, El Haimour, etc etc etc, but if someone even mentions Howard in a negative way, someone jumps at you.

He's a cracking player when he wants to be, but in the last few games, I think he's been dire, along with everyone else.

You don't half get defensive if someone doesn't agree with you. You seem to downright ignore the fact that I've repeatedly stated that I'm a fan of his, and that he's been outstanding for the last 2 or 3 seasons.

But if you think he's played well in the last 2 games, you're wearing blinkers. There were numerous occasions yesterday when Macken chased back to the edge of his own box to cover because Howard was either knackered, or couldn't be arsed to track back.

He does set very high standards with the performances he's put in, and at the moment, he's nowhere near those standards. If he didn't drink so much, he'd be fitter, and he'd be more of an asset to the team.

In addition to that, to suggest Howard gets the blame for everything is just ridiculous. He's been mentioned about 3 times when almost everyone on here has blamed Davey.

But don't worry. I won't dare to suggest that Howard is out of form or unfit in future. He's the only faultless player in the entire squad.

I am not getting defensive at all

I just was being lighthearted and taking the piss.

It was not about you personally and I appologise if it seemed that way. It was more a piss take of the pillocks on here that are constantly slagging Howard for being in the Pub, when they themselves are doing the exact same thing or they would not have see him in there.

I agree that it was maybe not the best thing in the world to do last night, but he was not even in Barnsley, he was not exactly rubbing our noses in it was he.
