It's funny People keep on saying we arent winning because were missing Burns, but his replacement keeps having good games, you could even say the midfield has improved, were only missing him because we need him to warm the bench.

Smashing player Plays with a passion rarely seen outside the homegrown lads and with a quality on the ball bettered only by McPhail .
RE: Smashing player Totally agree, it's a shame him and McPhail havn't been able to play together all season really they've both got enough ability to at least play in the championship.
RE: It's funny I wont call them w@nkers , they simply cant score which Strikers are paid to do.
Hayes, to me, is a midfielder and should play behind Nardiello and a other striker, Wright, Conlon or Richards?
Conlon and Richards arent good enough, so i'd play Wright if i had to choose between them 3.

You're right , young Simon If the club is to progress both in the short and long term , then that is the standard of player we ought to be looking to sign .
RE: You're right , young Simon The problem will be next season if McPhail leaves. We need to sign someone of a similar standard to play along side Howard seeing as though Kell doesn't seem to have much of a future at the club and Wroe simply isn't good enough.
If McPhail DOES leave (And I think he'll stay if we go up) , then Howard will become our playmaker . The players are out there ( and always have been ) and it's up to the club to attract them to Oakwell .
Rovrum owner made a good point There will be loads of players looking for clubs this summer as the last of the long term pre ITV Digital collapse contracts expire.
In a nut shell the wages will be down to more realistic numbers all round at our level and there will be many players without clubs.
Maybe this figures in the clubs transfer dealings (or lack of) this season?

Brilliant post The better players will want to join the best run clubs , so as to have the assurance of their salaries being paid and on time .
he tends to pop with with important goal too Shame they get snubbed out more often than not with piss poor defending.
RE: he tends to pop with with important goal too The only one prepared to have a go from 25 yards rather than trying to walk the ball into the net!
