Howard closer to a return Barnsley's summer signing Brian Howard is hoping to return to full training within the next two to three weeks. The 22-year-old former Swindon midfielder, who arrived on a free transfer in June, has yet to feature for Andy Ritchie's side after breaking a bone in his foot during pre-season. "We're expecting Brian to return towards the end of September," said a club spokesman. "He's returned to light training and will be stepping it up in the next couple of weeks. "He's started straight-line running, but no twisting and turning and hopes to join back up with the first-team squad in around two to three weeks - but he is ahead of schedule."
