I thought he had an exellent debut

bet Burnsy appreciated having someone alongside to do a bit of grafting with a good footballing head on him.

yeh a thought howard and burns were outstanding int centre today. looks as good a partnership than other we've had.

hopefully they will be given a run int team together for a good few teams.

PS - Burns as been the most consistant and impressive player for us this season - keep it up boy'o

Agree about Burns - most consistently improved player this season without a doubt

    Played well

Wasn't it him that we were told was "lazy" by Swindon fans?

You could argue that on another day he'd have got a second yellow for the challenge on Owen, but, having had a very good view of it from the East Upper fron row, having started to slide he couldn't have avoided the collision.

I thought the ref had a decent game, one baffling decision regarding a throw in in the second half, but generally was very sensible in letting the game flow and then, when there was a break in play, making sure that misdemeanours were dealt with (Devaney's booking must have happened about four minutes after the challenge it was for).

I thought he did well. Reckon he'll become a bit of a legend here. Help us get promoted this season, score a few goals, become club captain and a fans favourite. Reckon he'll even verge on legend status, maybe with the aid of a goal in a successful cup run against a big side. Think he could get a bit big headed though, leave for one of the local massives? maybe Sheffield United and then never fully recover from a neck injury sustained by Kevin Blackwell (if he ever takes over as their manager) and his awful hoofball style of play. He'll realise he shouldn't have left here in the first place, and will make numerous comments/plea's to the chronicle, asking various Barnsley managers to 'come and get him', whilst bouncing from one club to the next.

I could be wrong though and he could just be gash from the start.
