agree that he needs dropping this may also help us keep hold of him as if the likes of everton see were not happy with his profarmances they might think twice about a move

Howard is a good player, but I don't think he comes close to players like Arteta, Cahill, Osman & Pienaar.

He tries too hard. Looks to create chance with every touch rather than playing it simply when it's needed.

Maybe all this talk about him going to bigger and better pastures as had a downward effect on his ability. The team is in a bit of a turmoil at the moment, with all the transfer talk and the loanese going back or staying at the club.
I'll be glad when January comes, then we will all know what's happening, personally Howard is a good player, dropping him will not improve our goal tally, he is more likely to score than anyone in the team.

If there is a deal, it is more likely to be Howard in a swap with Anderson to Everton. Don't think it will happen somehow. Celtic also interested allegedly. Derby also according to the papers.

He may not be playing to his usual high standards at the moment but he is still our talisman and skipper. Where would we be in the table without his goals this season? And who exactly would we play in his place?
