Am I the only one who thought Brian played well on Tuesday night. He was roughed up all the match and the ref never gave him a thing against a very dirty Colchester side. He made some great runs into the box and should have been awarded a penalty when he got booked for diving. He is a great leader on the pitch also.

thought he did play well but totally overshadowed by Leon. He dived, not even very convincingly, but then Gerrard and Owen do it every week, so summat to aspire to eh?

howard was rubbish as he has been for a couple of months now. Hopefully now the deadline has gone he can forget about the £3m price tag and get on with what we know he can do

and now de silva's back he will play better

Its not that they will out shine him its that we know have the equivalent quality for him to be rested. Something we have not
    had before.
