POST MATCH REACTION FROM HOME PARK

REDS skipper Brian Howard gave his thoughts following today's controversial defeat at Plymouth.

Brian said: "I do not know whether Lewin (Nyatanga) deserved sending off. I think it was a foul but it was well outside the area and you have to ask whether Dennis (Souza) or Stephen (Foster) would get back to cover. I do not think it was a goalscoring opportunity.

"It was so early in the game as well and they killed it when they scored really. I am sure Lewin could have been given the benefit of doubt.

"We needed a bit of luck and we do not seem to get that away from home at the moment. It was a great but of skill by Anderson De Silva and he was unlucky to hit the bar. If that had gone in I would have fancied us to get a point at least.

"We did not get the rub of the green.

"We have great team spirit and we are all willing to die for the cause. We have to pick ourselves up and go to Anfield to put on a good show".

I hope De Silva's effort makes it onto the match highlights

It sounded like a cracking effort.
