    [IMG]Wednesday manager Brian Laws is warning his players they will have to be on their mettle from the word 'go' when they travel to face South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley on Saturday (1.00pm).</p>

    </p>

    Laws has seen the Tykes regularly this season and has noted they often score early on, an occurrence he does not want to see repeated this weekend:</p>

    </p>

    &quot;They start games very well and score goals early,&quot; said the gaffer. &quot;We've got to make sure we're prepared for that. I feel we will get stronger than Barnsley as the game goes on but we have to make sure we're still in the game to get to that stage.&quot;</p>

    <table width="93%" align="center" border="0"><tbody><tr><td><div class="articleSeparator">[IMG]</div></td></tr><tr><td><font color="#0818a5" size="+1">&quot;There are no favourites. I know we're on a good run but Barnsley are playing well at home.&quot;</font></td></tr><tr><td align="right"><font color="#0818a5">Brian Laws</font></td></tr><tr><td><div class="articleSeparator">[IMG]</div></td></tr></tbody></table></p>

    </p>

    Laws says the 7,500 travelling attendance tells him everything he needs to know about the importance of the match to Wednesday fans and will ensure his players &quot;go out there and give the supporters what they deserve.&quot;</p>

    </p>

    But, despite the Owls' superb recent form, he does not regard his side as favourites to win the game: &quot;At the end of the day it's a local derby and an even game. There are no favourites. I know we're on a good run but Barnsley are playing well at home.&quot;</p>

    </p>

    Instead, the boss knows that in these games, results often come down to which side has the greatest desire to win:</p>

    </p>

    &quot;We want it just as much as they do,&quot; he said. &quot;There will be a lot of commitment and desire. Tackles will be flying in and I don't expect anything less. I don't see a lot of goals in it but we've got to take the game to them.&quot;</p></div>
