Absolutely gutted to have lost tonight, a brave performance that deserved so, so much better than a defeat. Unfortunately we were just utterly luckless in every department, from their third goal taking a hideous deflection, to some inspired keeping/last-ditch blocks, what looked like a perfectly good second goal for us disallowed, and one of the most biased refereeing performances I've ever seen go against us. I'm actually stunned he gave us the penalty and didn't book Watkins for diving. Not to mention ignoring a blatant push in the back by a Posh player prior to their second goal. Oh, and not letting Winnall on the pitch for the corner they scored from. Then only booking a Posh player when he raked his studs down George Smith's leg off the ball, but being happy enough to send Long off for an admittely overly strong challenge. Complete and utter tosspot of a referee.

Yes the defending for the first goal was awful and we should have buried more than 2 of our 23 shots, but it was honestly a world away from some of the defeats suffered on this run. Hammill was the best player on the pitch by a mile, players were actually attacking balls into the box and they just looked better, stronger and more tight-knit than at any point in this godawful run.

Credit to the other supporters there as well, made some great noise throughout and clapped them off at the end (and rightly gave the ref/linesman an absolute bollocking).

But, at the end of the day it's a 9th defeat in 10 games. Had this result not occurred during this run, it would be easy to focus on the positives rather than the defeat itself. We're getting better on the pitch, but the results unfortunately are remaining poor. Saturday is a must win, and I know if we play like tonight we can do it. I hope for Johnson's sake we do, as I don't think even he will survive a 10th defeat in 11 games.

Ending on a positive note, here's a video of Hourihane's penalty I took (sorry for the crappy quality):
