i was unimpressed with AFC look shoddy defensively, 2 big centre halfs who can head the ball but on the deck are poor... 1st half was all Brig, who shouldve led 2-1 maybe 3-1 at the half time whistle. 2nd half Brig looked a little tired and managed only a handful of 2nd half chances.. overall i dont think the result was a fair reflection on the game, Brig deserved at least Extra time or a replay.

I thought there were good ball players on both sides. Deano the fair haired winger for AFC looked very tricky. I suppose it could have gone either way but brig didn't really threaten in t'second half. It's frustrating watching t'Brig 'cos year in year out they have the same season never in danger of going up or down.

Not enough height in the Brig team. Still , bring on the next team

Not been since early eighties but thought they were a might unlucky not to get ET.

    Created more of the chances.

There were some quite skillful players on display but it was mostly no nonsense stuff.

Terry Taylor had a good game mind and bagged a brace for AFC.

Foregive my ignorance but are brig in a higher league than AFC?

play in second division of North East Counties league and have done for eons. Finished 2nd about 5 years ago but couldn't get promoted due to ground issues. AFC no idea.

Brig looked decent side but seemed to huff n puff in midfield with nowt much up front, also i think the pitch spoiled what could have been a cracking game. AFC where 4 regulers missing as well

wasnt impressed with AFC defence, 2 tall lads but useless on the deck in my opinion, ok ive only seen them once so a bit harsh.. ive been saying all season that Brig lack a solid midfielder and a target man upfront..

both reguler left and right backs were missing and the guy who played right back was his first game in 4 months and he,s a midfielder, but i see what you mean about Brig fire power they need a good offensive midfielder and a striker

the kid who was missing is there top scorer but he is only a little-un, need a big lad up there to play with him.. got a good left winger though brig and goalscorer is usually a right winger.. its a decent young team but they need a little more experience in middle of park, if they did i reckon they'd get out this league no problem, last week they beat 4th place from premier league in cup so it shows on there day they can do it..

yeah looked a good player, wasnt impressed with forwards though both looked mediocre. i did notice that AFC were forever complaining at the refs decisions, does this happen a lot?

no9 sinisa savic, played at Barnsley and 10 Adam pollock played at centre half last season, but no they dont usually complain unless theres summat to complain about; the ref seemed to give free kicks in cycles like 4 for them then 4 for us, all in all i think AFC edged it but it would have been a better match on a half decent pitch

agree about the pitch... the slope is a big factor too especially in conditions like that.. brig shouldve had a lead at half time with the amount of chances they had but in the 2nd half i didnt recall them having any shot untill the last 5 mins or so. dont think there much between the teams and like you say would have been a real cracker on a decent pitch.
