when will people onhere stop harking back topast glories? We need a current up to date manager wit current thoughts ideas etc, not ex,manages from years ago, i honestly thought the football we played under Clarke was better than anythig since, so for all those myopic wilson supporters, GET REAL...

But Wilson has done well since leaving REDS! So I don't believe it's purely myopic at all.

    Wilson or Warnock for me.

Myopic. Really? How is wanting Wilson a short sighted view?

By definition of your own term, the myopic view would be to appoint Mellon, or even Warnock to the end of the season.

To be honest I want Wilson because out of the realistic options, he's experienced at this level, and Would probably come here.

So in your mind, the definition of doing "well" is winning promotion to the Premiership and nothing else is classed as doing "well"?

Danny has survived relegation fights, won promotions and been involved in play-offs. This underlines his EXPERIENCE, which for me, is exactly what BFC require at this moment in time.

This guy is cracking me up. Check out his previous posts. He is clearly a WUM or he has severe anger issues. For this club to survive, Ben must appoint whoever pekicolamuncher wants.

We should show some ambition and go for pingpong and Mike Bassett as joint managers.

Think a lot of fans around at the time will say Norman Hunter got the best out of Allan Clarke's players.

Why? Is that the criteria for the recruitment of the next BFC manager? Promotion to the premier league with two or more clubs?

You're right, we're all aiming too low. We should look to someone who has achieved something recently. I'll email Mansford and suggest Guardiola, Benitez or maybe trying to tempt Ferguson out of retirement.

We won't get a recently successful manager because we can neither afford to pay one nor afford to buy the players he'd want.

Wilson may not be ideal but he's the best we have available to us right now in my opinion (and seemingly that of a lot of others).
