I'm almost sure we had this conversation when Paul Hart left the club.
If I remember correctly the concencus then was a big fat no!
He did his job at the time, got us to the Premier League and got the thanks and gratitude that he deserved.
I don't believe in going down the 'let's bring back an old manager' route.
New faces, new blood and a new team spirit.
Onwards and upwards!

Totally agree mate ........ ..... and it's very noticeable how the Wilson fan club has diminished from when we appointed Ritchie, loads on here were advocating his return at that point. Might be summat to do with the fact that he's done sod all at MK Dons and Hartlepool in the last 2 to 3 years, not to mention his failure at the fowls. In fact, apart from a few flirtations with the play-offs at Bristol City, he's done sod all since 1997
RE: Totally agree mate ........ 'his failure at the fowls. In fact' as far as i can see he was a success at the fowls, bankrupt and relegation in my eyes thats a fantastic job
If he applied he should be considered in the same way as any other applicant. Neither from a sentimental 'ahhhh Danny' or 'Judas Wilson' perspective.
Rubbish. The Wilsonites & the Anti-Wilsons should gather in two groups. The Anti-Wilsons should set him on fire while the Wilsonites spray him with champagne. If he lives - he gets the job - if he dies we give it to Wavey Gravy Davey. Simple.
Ok so... ... what criteria would you apply if considering Davey... btw you can't use the Wilson selection method or merely his death as that it far too logical !!!!
Easy. I'd ask him to lose a pound in weight for every goal we concede up until we decide who gets the job. If he loses the weight - he gets to be Academy Manager & we appoint a proper 1st Team Manager. If he doesn't lose the weight - we set him on fire. Simple. He only gets the 1st Team Managers job if all the others die during interview.
