I'm not pro or anti-Davey..... he's still a relatively inexperienced manager, as soon a we appear to be heading in the right direction we stumble and take a few steps backwards. I just hope that he has learnt by his mistakes this and last season.

If I were PC I would give SD him until christmas to turn things around. My first priority would be to bring in some experience to the coaching staff e.g. John Ward (x-wolves/Carlisle/Cheltenham), and perhaps someone with links to the club e.g. Neil Redfearn.

Next step would be to look at the existing squad, decide where we need to strengthen and if possble extend contracts of Steele, Kozzy and possibly Macken. Others I would allow to leave i.e. Souza, Moore, Letheren, Heslop and Potter.

    My summer targets:

    1. Adam Hammill (Liverpool Winger) - Would love to have him back here on season long loan.

    2. Simon Cox (Swindon Striker) - hot prospect, scored 32goals this season in stuttering L1 side.

    3. Gary Taylor-Fletcher (Blackpool Striker/Midfield) - out of contract in the summer. Always liked this lad, puts him self about and scores goals.

    4. Darren Ward (Wolves Defender) - experienced defender at this level.

    5. Alex Bruce (Ipswich Defender) - Looks a good young prospect and out of contract in the summer.

    6. Sammy Clingan (Norwich Midfielder) - energetic midfielder, good from set plays.

    7. Ross Turnbull (Boro Goalkeeper) - Out of contract in the summer. Quality backup if Steele doesn't re-sign.

    8. Adam Barrett (Southend Defender/left back) - experienced defender and natural leader.

I would also transfer list Van Homeot, KO, El Haimour and Diego Leon.

    With my first XII being:

    Steele

    Hassell, Fozzy, Bruce, Kozluk

    JCR, Clingan, Colace, Hammill

    Cox & Taylor-Fletcher

Alex Bruce is a donkey, and a dirty lovely person as well.

    Don't think Taylor-Fletcher's great, either.

The others, though - I'd love it if we could sign Cox, Hammill and Clingan.

    Football is all about opinions

and in my personal opinion, GTF is no better than Macken, Bogdanovic or even Mifsud for that matter.

A decent League1 player like our old pal Hayesy.

Uwelumo may be possible target, what with Wolves being promoted..... he'd be a class act at oakwell

Good Championship player but is he in Mick's premiership plans? I reckon striker to partner ebanks blake will be top priority and they already have Vokes, Keogh, and Knightly.... and I wonder if they will make a move for Harewood considering he spent last few months on loan their... mmmh

Bruce has been looked at by a couple of clubs in the North east and dirty leeds if the papers are to be belived. Cox is off to West brom. Darren Ward is surplus at Wolves and went to Charlton if i recall correctly and had a stormer when they came up to oakwell.

Cox will go to a team bigger than us

and probably for a couple of million (already linked with West Brom and Celtic!)

GTF really isn't that good, solid player but wouldn't improve the team at all.

Alex Bruce is beyond a promising youngster now, and again wouldn't improve our back four.

Ross Turnbull, Middlesborough regular for most of the season hasn't it? Wouldn't drop a division to become a back up, and would command pretty big wages.

    1. Adam Hammill (Liverpool Winger) - Would love to have him back here on season long loan. - Decent shout, but most want him for longer.

    2. Simon Cox (Swindon Striker) - hot prospect, scored 32goals this season in stuttering L1 side. Premiership bound for 2m+

    3. Gary Taylor-Fletcher (Blackpool Striker/Midfield) - out of contract in the summer. Always liked this lad, puts him self about and scores goals. He only ever scores against us.

    4. Darren Ward (Wolves Defender) - experienced defender at this level. Barnsley or Premiership? Tough choice.

    5. Alex Bruce (Ipswich Defender) - Looks a good young prospect and out of contract in the summer. Roy Keane may disagree with your idea of us signing him.

    6. Sammy Clingan (Norwich Midfielder) - energetic midfielder, good from set plays. He'll go somewhere bigger with more ambition

    7. Ross Turnbull (Boro Goalkeeper) - Out of contract in the summer. Quality backup if Steele doesn't re-sign. Wages, wages, wages. Plus if they go down I doubt he'd move even further down the league by coming back to us.

    8. Adam Barrett (Southend Defender/left back) - experienced defender and natural leader. Never seen him so can't comment.

    Agree with most, but..

Don't think Cox will move to a Premiership side. He'll got to West Brom or one of the others who'll be chasing promotion next season. A top club would be daft to risk that amount of money on him, think of all the players who've scored for fun in League One and then not lived up to it in the Championship, never mind the Premiership.

Darren Ward never got a sniff of a game in the Championship for Wolves so he's more than likely to move on. Good shout, imo.

    Even so

We wouldn't risk 2m on an English striker when we can get another YouTube classic for that price.

    Oh I know.

I wasn't saying we'd be able to get him. I just don't think he'll move to the top division, West Brom look most likely to sign him.
