Wednesday, Posh and Wolves to follow tomorrow, cutting the bottom 4 adrift. Best. Easter. Ever. Well, unless you're a Christian I suppose.
Brizzle will be no loss. Terrible ground, poor away following and a big trek to get there. Lets see how they get on in that league when they lose 12 million a year at championship level. I hope Sean O Driscoll enjoys his stay back in division three
Bristol City are down imo. They were absolutely shocking at our place, stand-out relegation candidates - and lovely to see Peterborough, on the other hand, went for it and got their just rewards. Still think they'll drop though, particularly after losing Boyd. Think it's then between Wolves & Wednesday - I'd prefer Wolves to go - but guessing EVERONE on here would rather it be Wednesday lol.
I dunno, you want them to suffer but then you enjoy the derbies too. It's one of life's great conundrums.
I've loved our Severnside derbies recently as Brizzle are so bad it's not true (and that's despite them beating us at theirs this year!), but can't wait to see them relegated. They'll still have a derby game next season though - against Yeovil
I've developed a bit of a soft spot for Yeovil and I'm actually hoping they'll come up. Ideally at the expense of Sheff Utd.
Ideal scenario would be United and Wednesday alternately yoyo-ing and we have a hand in their relegations each time.
That'll be one hell of a trek for you lot! But yeah, I'd rather that scenario than Sheff Utd coming up.
Yes, I'm well aware of the significance of Easter in the Christian calendar. But I doubt that Barnsley Football Club taking a step closer to avoiding relegation will surpass the resurrection of the son of God so my point was simply that this is unlikely to rank as the best Easter ever for even the most ardent fan who happens to be of the Christian faith. Second best, maybe, but probably not the best.
