Really good watch that - thanks for all your good work KT. I was in the third year of my RAF tour in Germany that season and only managed two games each season. Great to see players like Ooh Gerry Gerry, Bertie Biggins and Archie on the wing. I was enjoying hearing the Bristolian accents on commentary until they let themselves down by saying they shouldn’t be getting thrashed by “teams like this” in the second half! I’ve always had a lot of time for the Bristol clubs and the city itself. I was in Gloucester for over 20 years and visited there often. This was played at Bath City’s Twerton Park though. The left hand goalmouth was in a shocking state. Typical really for that era. Nice to year “Goodnight Irene” being sung loudly even though the game was gone. Good support from the Gasheads.
