Of course all Britain's kids aren't bad

If they were we'd be in a right mess, and yes our achievments are something to shout about and our youth organisations deserve the praise they get.

But we are still a nation riddled with escalating crime and violence, much of it caused by, directed at, and suffered by young people.

I think he's referring to the fact that there are americans teenagers that are involved in gun crime

    I may be mistaken but

I thought their citizens possibly ran round with more knives and guns than we do.

It's your analogy I'm at odds with. Because we're third in the table it seems to negate the fact that we could have a serious crime problem.

USA is second in the table. Get my drift?

RE: I may be mistaken but

1 in every 100 Americans are in jail. China has a lot of people in jail too. Our jail population had gone through the roof - maybe this is the secret of our success!?

    So basically

30 odd British youngsters aren't bad then?!

Of course, hopefully, there'll be a few positive role models for youngsters out of the Olympics.

That's the problem with this country

Everyone always has to get something even when they don't win!

Thats because you cant ride a bike or swim or sail a boat with a knife in your hand.
