Another team on a crap run, after Cardiff, who sack their manager just before we play them. To rub it in, we've a crap record against them too. The shits.
I hate playing teams on a crap run of results, as we always seem to manage to help them end such a run. Ones who’ve just sacked their manager are not much better for us.
Was about to post exactly the same. How the **** did LJ get away with it on numerous occasions and Holden's first real bad run and he's sacked.
Possibly the difference in compensation costs, a feeling amongst the Bristol fans that they had gone down the cheap 'n' cheerful route after a few years of extravagant budgeting. Obviously the chairman didn't enjoy the cheap 'n' cheerful approach, expect a Eddie Howe type appointment next unless Garry Monk manages get back on the championship merry go round.
Have faith in these players to get something from this game. We need to take Sundays performance into our next few games and not slacken off
I was looking at Bristol's stats last night. They average the least shots per game, whereas we receive the least against us. In recent weeks, they've only been mustering 3-6 shots per game. That isn't going to change over night, especially considering their injury problems. We should go there on Saturday and give them a good going over. But it's weird how we've gone so long without winning there.
Johnson must have been a real favourite for Bristol to stick with him like they did. Holden had a better win percentage, but 6 defeats on the bounce was the deciding factor. Tight margins between 6 defeats and a winless run of similar length, or several in Johnson’s case.
sometimes its not just about results. Maybe the owners could see the day to day stuff & weren't convinced he had the where withall
Bristol City now managerless and missing the following players this weekend due to injury- Baker Walsh DaSilva Williams Weimann Mawson Edwards Pring Nurse Adelukan O'Dowda Martin Rowe Watkins Brunt (injured then had his contract terminated) Lansbury a doubt
